摘要
Single-atom catalysts (SACs) show great potential in environmental catalysis due to the maximized atomic utilization efficiency, the unique metal coordination structure, and metal-support interactions. As single-atom catalysis is gradually processing into dual-atom catalysts, more complex active sites and synergistic interactions bring new opportunities and challenges in heterogeneous catalysis. We summarize the current advantages of SACs and their applications in environmental catalysis and discuss the current issues of stability and large-scale production. Finally, we provide an outlook on the future development of single-atom catalysis.
