摘要
Lithium and magnesium are promising metal fuels for some applications. Magnesium is considered the main fuel for propulsion systems that use Martian carbon dioxide as the oxidizer. Both magnesium and lithium could be used in the chemical heat integrated power systems for space missions where the use of solar or nuclear energy is impractical. The present review of recent publications in these areas aims to help outline the directions for advancing these technologies from laboratory-scale experiments and simplified analysis to practical propulsion and power systems.
