OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents from the flower of Trollius ledebouri. METHODS The components were separated by means of solvent extraction, repeated chromatography with silica column and Sephadex LH-20. The structures were determined by spectral analysis. RESULTS Fourteen compounds were isolated as palmitic acid(Ⅰ) , tetracosene(Ⅱ),β-sitosterol(Ⅲ), salvigenin(Ⅳ) , veratric acid(Ⅴ), vanillic acid(Ⅵ) , scrophulein(Ⅶ), daucosterol(Ⅷ), methyl P-hydroxybenzoate(Ⅸ),chrysoeriol(Ⅹ) ,4-hydroxyben-zoic acid(Ⅺ), luteolin(Ⅺ) , quercetin(ⅩⅢ)and tilianin(ⅩⅣ). CONCLUSION All compounds except Ⅰ, Ⅲ , and Ⅴ were isolated from the genus Trollius for the first time.
