Prophylactic stenting of vulnerable plaques: pros and cons

This article discusses the potential and limitations of preventive stenting of vulnerable plaques identified on intravascular imaging to reduce acute coronary syndrome risk, but larger randomized trials are needed given imaging and stenting risks.
