Three‐Component Reactions of 2,2,2‐Trifluoroethyl Ketones, Aryl Azides and Aqueous Ammonia for the Synthesis of 4‐Cyano‐1,2,3‐triazoles

Abstract A new method for the synthesis of 4‐cyano‐1,2,3‐triazoles is developed using a three‐component strategy. The cyano group is generated in situ by the reaction of 2,2,2‐trifluoroethyl ketone and aqueous ammonia. The one‐pot protocol allows the synthesis of 4‐cyano‐1,2,3‐triazoles under mild reaction conditions.
