Recycling of wind turbine rotor blades. Fact or fiction?; Recycling von Rotorblaettern aus Windenergieanlagen. Fakt oder Fiktion?

Caused by the dismantling of wind turbines after their use during 20 years of service life and repowering activities from the year 2020 on there will be respectable amounts of rotor blade waste in Germany and worldwide. According to the state of the art and legislation, thermal treatment, preferably in incineration plants and cement works, is to be expected. These routes are even used today, however, each of the problems caused by dismantling, transport and crushing of the huge components have to be solved individually.
