摘要
Tea, is one of the most preferred and consumed non-alcoholic beverages in the world and is considered an important cash crop. China, India, Sri Lanka, and Kenya are the major tea-producing countries, producing quality tea. Climate change resulting in a rise in temperature, fluctuations in rainfall pattern and drought are considered as limiting factors affecting pest dynamics and sustainable tea production. This chapter provides an insight into the trends in climate change affecting tea production, pest scenarios, and mitigation strategies to minimise the impact of climate change on the tea ecosystem, which is emerging as a major challenge for tea growers.
