The Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children (DISC) has been used in research and clinical settings to assess DSM-5 criteria of mental disorders in children. DISC-5 was recently developed, and it included updates to both the ADHD and tic disorder modules to reflect changes in DSM-5 criteria. The DISC-5 tic module differed substantially from DISC-IV in response to previous research showing poor agreement between the DISC-IV and expert clinical assessment of tic disorders. This study was conducted to determine sensitivity and specificity of the DISC-5 parent- and youth-report ADHD and tic disorder modules.
