摘要
Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) is one of the key technologies that can improve the throughput performance by aggregating the multiple path. However, in the 5G network, the adoption of MPTCP causes the performance degradation due to the reduction of unnecessary congestion windows by frequent packet losses. Especially, it degrades the performance of video streaming service that requires high throughput. To solve this problem, we propose an adaptive offloading framework of MPTCP for improving the performance of the video streaming service in 5G network. The proposed offloading scheme represents a method of distributing more data to a path with lower packet loss rate to prevent throughput degradation in lossy network environment.
