摘要
Abstract High values of extractable potassium are characteristic of some soils formed on the tuffaceous member of the Salt Lake Formation in northern Utah. The apparent source of the K is a zeolite, clinoptilolite. The Blackrock soil, mapped on part of the Salt Lake Formation, is noncalcareous in the upper part as opposed to the strongly calcareous Wheelon soil mapped on other parts of the formation. No attempt was made to delineate the exact extent of the zeolite‐bearing strata.
