Intravenous sodium thiosulfate combined with parathyroidectomy as a cure for uremic tumoral calcinosis in a hemodialysis patient

• TC nearly disappeared after treatment with PTX combined with ivSTS treatment at 6 months follow-up without occurrence of hypercalcemia. • The resorption of TC induced by STS may be responsible for the severe hypercalcemia. • STS therapy can be applied to patients with uremic tumoral calcinosis associated with systemic disorders.
