Isolated Fallopian Tube Torsion Presenting as Acute Pelvic Pain

An 18-year-old woman presented to our Emergency Department with constipation and acutely worsening right lower quadrant pain. Ultrasound demonstrated a right adnexal cyst (7.8 cm) separate from the right ovary, suspicious for hydrosalpinx (Fig. 1A). At the time of the ultrasound, the patient's pain was controlled, and she reported no tenderness, suggesting a chronic finding. She was discharged to home in stable condition.
