摘要
There is an increasing attitude toward replacing mechanical gears with magnetic ones to transform speed and torque as they offer considerable advantages compared with mechanical gears. This paper presents a coaxial magnetic gear with a gear ratio of 3.5 and cogging factor equal to one to transmit high torque value with nearly free ripple torque. The proposed magnetic gear consists of internal and external rotors made of permanent magnets. In addition, fixed ferromagnetic pole pieces are inserted between the inner and outer rotor. The electromagnet performance of the proposed magnetic gear is analyzed by utilizing Finite Element (FE) analysis.
