摘要
Abstract In this work, nanoparticles of K-6 or keto RDX (2-oxo-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazacyclohexane) were prepared by spraying a solution of K-6–acetone into water. In this method, nanocrystals of K-6 were obtained by fine control over hydrodynamics and geometry. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetry (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used to characterize nano-K-6. The results show that the nanoparticles of K-6 have an approximately aggregate spherical structure with a size under 60 nm. It was observed that the XRD diffraction peaks broadened and the peak intensity weakened when the particle size of K-6 was reduced to the nanometer range. It is found that the nano-K-6 decomposes at a lower temperature and is less sensitive to impact stimuli with respect to micro-K-6. Keywords: characterizationenergetic materialsK-6nanoparticles
