The mitigation of CO 2 emission is an urgent issue to be addressed. CO 2 electroreduction into carbon-neutral fuels renders an appealing strategy to settle the anthropogenic environmental problems. In this study, silver nanocubes with 43[Formula: see text]nm in length enclosed by {111} facet were synthesized for the CO 2 electrocatalytic reduction to CO. The nanocubes exhibit excellent catalytic activity in regard to outstanding CO Faradaic efficiency with the maximum approximately 98% and eminent long-term stability. The enhanced catalytic activity may be attributed to stable low-index {111} facet of Ag nanocubes with low surface energy.
