摘要
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a disease diagnosed by a mean pulmonary arterial pressure > 20 mmHg.1 Early screening for PH is crucial because if this disease is left untreated, the disease progresses to heart failure and premature death, with a median survival period of 2–3 years.1 The current standard method for PH diagnosis is right heart catheterization (RHC), but this procedure is invasive and is associated with risks, such as bleeding or cardiac arrhythmias.1 Other methods used for screening for PH such as echocardiograms are routinely used only in patients with a high prevalence of PH, such as those with systemic sclerosis.
