Coal-fired power plant pollution in South Africa

A decision to bypass the technology that removes sulphur dioxide from exhaust flue gases at Kusile, South Africa, one of the world's largest coal-fired power plants and the only one in the country that has emission controls for sulphur dioxide, would endanger the health of the community around the Mpumalanga province.
