Green method of synthesizing L-malate from D-glucose via CO2 fixation using an ATP-free in vitro synthetic enzymatic biosystem

An in vitro synthetic enzymatic biosystem ( iv SEB) comprising five thermophilic enzymes with balanced NAD + /NADH was developed for the biomanufacturing of 2 moles of l -malate from 1 mole of d -glucose through the fixation of 2 moles of CO 2 .
