摘要
Smartphones have a wide appeal for ophthalmic imaging. Most enthusiasts recommend using macro-lenses or the slit-lamp eyepiece either barehanded or with adaptors or recently even intraocular lenses (IOLs).[1234] With newer phones coming with two or more cameras, the 2× zoom option works well for taking anterior segment images. The illumination can be provided by the illumination system of the slit-lamp. The following images [Fig. 1] were taken by keeping the phone at a 30-45° angle with the slit-lamp beam providing either diffuse or slit illumination. This works with any mid-range dual camera phone with a 2x-zoom option, thus negating the need for any extra attachments.Figure 1: Anterior segment photos taken using 2x zoom on Nokia 7 Plus (a mid-range Android smartphone) with illumination from a slit-lamp.
