LEXICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF “PERSONAL STATUS” IN THE INTERNET COMMUNICATION (VKontakte Russian Social Network example)

The article concerns issues of recent trends in the development of modern Russian Internet communications.It outlines the specific features of speech genres of Internet vocabulary in social network.The research is based on personal statuses of users profiles in Russian social network Vkontakte.The article emphasizes on personal statuses lexical units and its identification as modern speech genre of Internet communications.During the observations it has been established that users mainly put in their statuses a certain text which describes their current mood or the building blocks of their lives.The results of conducted lexical analysis show some of the features of Russian speaking users linguistic personality in this social network.
