摘要
Great interest has been invoked by the concept of mesoporous zeolites in the past years. By incorporating additional mesoporosity into the intrinsic microporosity of zeolites, a hierarchical pore system appears, which facilitates mass transfer with an enhanced accessibility, giving rise to improved catalytic activity in reactions that usually suffer from steric or diffusional limitations. To tailor the pore architecture of mesoporous zeolites, a great number of synthesis strategies have been exploited so far. These fascinating zeolites have also found their huge potentials in a wide variety of application fields, especially in catalysis. In this chapter, we present a general overview of diverse synthesis approaches for the fabrication of mesoporous zeolites and their catalytic application in various reactions classified by different reaction types.
