摘要
( Eur J Anaesthesiol . 2021;38:394–401) Hypotension affects more than 50% of cesarean delivery (CD) patients receiving spinal anesthesia (SA). Fluid administration (preload and co-load), as well as prophylactic use of phenylephrine, noradrenaline, and ondansetron are all used to prevent hypotension. There are a number of reasons for hypotension following SA, and predicting the pathway leading to hypotension by monitoring hemodynamics may help inform the best prevention and treatment. Corrected blood flow time (FTc) in the carotid artery is affected by left ventricular preload and associated with myocardial afterload. This study aimed to evaluate preanesthetic FTc as a predictor of hypotension in CD patients receiving spinal anesthesia.
