摘要
Abstract Polymicrogyria is a brain congenital anomaly characterised by multiple small gyri with abnormal cortical lamination. Although commonly described in humans, only two case reports in dogs have been published, including a total of nine standard poodles and one golden retriever. This case report presents a miniature poodle with polymicrogyria, which differs from previous reported cases in clinical presentation, extent of lesion and survival time. Furthermore, to the authors’ knowledge, this is the first description of susceptibility‐weighted imaging sequences acquisition in canine polymicrogyria, which showed the presence of an abnormal vessel pattern. The increasing availability of high‐field magnetic resonance imaging for companion animals will provide more information about vascular anomalies in polymicrogyria and other congenital brain malformations.
