Adult Stonefly Behavior before and after Mating

Abstract This chapter examines the behavior of adults of three species of Perlodidae stonefly including Stavsolus japonicas, Isoperla aizuana, and Tadamus kohnonis before and after mating. Before mating, individuals on the ceilings and walls were active, while those on the ground did not move. After mating, individuals on the ground were observed walking around while those on the walls and ceilings did not often move.
