Minimally Invasive Resection of Ovarian Leiomyoma

A 39-year-old woman asymptomatic woman was found to have a right ovarian mass during a routine physical examination. An ultrasound examination reported a solid mass (2.8 × 3.1 × 4.1 cm) in the right ovary, and tumour markers were normal. A laparoscopy was performed, with a white solid mass right ovarian with well-defined boundaries noted, and the mass was able to be enucleated (Figs. 1,2). The mass was put into a containment bag and removed following mechanical morcellation. Pathology reported a benign leiomyoma.
