The platinum material strengthening methods e.g. solid solution strengthening, strain hardening, grain boundaries strengthening, dispersion strengthening, etc and the investigations on strengthening mechanism are reviewed. The principal properties and usages of the major typical strengthened platinum materials such as ZGS Pt(Pt-Rh), ODS Pt(Pt-Rh), DPH Pt(Pt-Rh) are described. The results may be referenced for selection or research of more effective strengthening methods of platinum material and promoting utilization of the materials.
