Physics of Graphite

Graphite is a material of increasing technical importance, used as a moderator in nuclear reactors, electrodes and rocket nozzles, and this book describes the physics behind the technology. There are chapters on mechanical, thermal and electronic properties, in which experiments on more perfect crystals are related to theory, and then in turn related to the polycrystalline materials which are actually used.
