IR Sensor Based Automated Soap Cutting and Packing System

In the soap manufacturing industries, manual cutting and packaging of soap are a laborious and time-consuming procedure that calls for more accuracy and precision. There will be setbacks since manual cutting and packing is a more time-consuming process. When soapis cut manually, problems such as inappropriate sizing and shaping will arise. When packaging, the wrappers must be appropriately and uniformly sized to fully and properly enclose the soap. The industry personnel used to cut the soap bar into the necessary size and form before packing. Typically, using a manual cutter that can have distorted shapes and make sloppy cuts was how soaps were traditionally cut. In order to properly wrap the soap, additional wrappers are needed during packing, and there is a high likelihood that some will be wasted. Packing a single piece of soap also takes extra time because of this efficiency will also decrease. They also deal with the issue of gathering the soap bars after cutting. The new methodology reduces the above-mentioned challenges by making the manual method of cutting and packing into an automatic process. In proposed system, the soap bar is kept on a conveyor belt (made with appx. size) which has an IR Sensor. When the soap passes through the arrangement IR Sensor sends the signal to the Arduino and then the pneumatic and the solenoid valve makes the cutter cut the soap. After cutting the soap the IR sensor senses the presence of the wrapper and makes the relay switch on the motor and wraps the soap, at the end of the arrangement, and collected it. The automated system for cutting and packaging soap boosts production, which benefits small businesses. An automated method for cutting and packaging soap aims to do both tasks automatically. This will lead to an uninterrupted flow of automated cutting, followed by packing, and the collection of the packed soap. The automatic mechanism makes soap shape and packaging possible minimizing labor and time costs.
