Objective To study the influence of Isorhamnetin on cultured neonatal rat cardic fibroblast (CFb) proliferation and collagen synthesis induced by angiotensinⅡ. Methods Neonatal rats were treated with angiotensin Ⅱ (AngII) to form cardic fibrosis model. The effects of isorhamnetin on CFb proliferation was measured by thiazolyl blue (MTT) colorimetric assay, synthesis of collagen was measured by 3H- proline incorporation assay. Results Isorhamnetin (10-4- 10-6 mol/L) inhibited angiotensin Ⅱ induced CFb proliferation and collagen synthesis in a dose- dependent manner (P0.01). Conclusion Isorhamnetin inhibited angiotensin Ⅱ induced cardic fibrosis by inhibiting CFb proliferation and collagen synthesis. It suggests that isorhamnetin may play a role in the regression of heart remodeling.
