摘要
Addressing and mitigating climate change requires substantial innovations and changes. The term 'disruptive innovation' is frequently used when discussing the technologies and transformations, regardless of whether this involves the development of a single green technology or the complete transformation of the energy system. This review examines the definition of disruptive innovation and how it applies to the changes proposed in the Green New Deal. Achieving the ambitions of the Green New Deal will require social, economic, and industrial revolutions, rarely experienced in our history. However, climate change is going to force monumental changes. The Green New Deal offers a vision for controlling and directing society's transformation through the development of new green technologies and public policies that mitigate and support the transformation to a sustainable and just society.
