摘要
Abstract This article presents a fiber‐optic in‐line Michelson temperature sensor with the high sensitivity.The in‐line Michelson interferometer used as a fiber‐optic temperature sensor is composed of a hollow optical fiber spliced to a single‐mode standard optical fiber at one end and cleaved at the other end. As the fabrication procedure involving fusion splicing and cleaving, the fiber‐optic in‐line Michelson temperature sensor is much easier and cheaper to make. The relation between the phase shift and temperature is approximately linear and the sensor sensitivity is about 3.1 radian/°C. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
