Iodinated Diketopiperazines: Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Iodinated Analogues of Cyclo(L‐Tyrosine‐L‐Tyrosine) Peptides

We developed a simple strategy to synthesize iodinated diketopiperazine (DKP) analogues with varied number of iodine atoms. The cell inhibition study of iodinated DKPs against the three cancer cell lines are contingent upon the number of incorporated iodine atoms and the presence of phenolic group in the scaffold. We anticipate that this method might be suitable for incorporating iodine atoms in peptidic foldamers for structural studies and functional attributes.
