Raman study of SrF2 under uniaxial stress

The first-order Raman scattering in SrF2 is studied at room temperature in the presence of a uniaxial stress. The phonon deformation potentials for the long-wavelength Raman-active optical phonon are determined and compared to those of other materials with the fluorite structure.
