摘要
Y2SiO5 is a very important material holding wide range of luminescent properties making it a worthy luminous material. However, to extend its luminescent properties, doping can be done with the help of several materials like Eu, Ce, Lu, etc. There are different methods to for synthesize Y2SiO5 such as solid-state reaction method, combustion method, spray pyrolysis, sol–gel method, Czochralski technique, Sedimentation method, Solution combustion technique, FTIR, etc. All these methods have their own merits and demerits. Further, for characterizing the material, different characterizing techniques such as Photoluminescence spectroscopy, Energy Dispersive, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray and X-ray diffraction are brought in use. In this review paper, Y2SiO5 is reviewed with different ions and with different synthesizing methods along with different methods used for synthesis process.
