Biodegradable and Biobased Polymers

Over the past 30 years, researchers from both academia and industry have made a lot of efforts to advance the technologies of biodegradable and biobased polymers, including preparation, properties, processing, and applications. This chapter is not intended to provide a comprehensive review of all related polymer materials in the literature but instead gives a brief account of the status of selected biodegradable and biobased polymers which are commercially available or promising based on the authors' understanding
