Antibacterial and Anticancer Peptides in Batrachia Skin Secretion

The skin secretions of Batrachia contain many bioactive substances, including neuropeptides, toxins, opioids, hormones, antimicrobial and antifungal agents. The recent research progress in skin secretions of Batrachia, especially the action mechanisms and the relationship between the structure and function of antibacterial peptides, is reviewed in this paper. The potential application of these peptides in clinics and pharmaceutics is suggested.
