摘要
In this chapter, the authors outline how leaders can use their own strengths and optimize their followers' strengths to ensure a healthy and productive workplace. They first present a brief explanation of the strengths movement and its three main schools of thoughts, in order to clearly define the concept of ‘strength’ and to provide a general overview of the main research results in the field. Then, they redirect their focus onto an applied perspective and discuss how leaders can identify strengths, their own or their subordinates', and increase their daily use in the workplace. Lastly, the authors describe some of the main managerial practices that can be implemented by leaders to support the development of a strengths-based culture among their teams.
